Warriors Back in the Win Column

St Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors visited the La Broquerie Habs for the first time ever on Friday night.

Teagan Fillion (Johnson, Tirschman) kept his strong season going when he scored on a partial breakaway to give St. Malo the 1-0 lead heading into the second.

In the second it was all Warriors scoring four times. Starting with Jeremie Collette (Little, Dubois) only seconds into the second, Kaden Rioux (Cure, Braun) only a minute later, Damon Johnson (Collette, Gregoire) on the powerplay, and finally another Teagan Fillion (Rioux, Cure) to make it 5-0 St. Malo.

St. Malo added two more in the third thanks to Keston Worley, and Damon Johnson (Magne, Dubois) to lead 7-0.

The shutout bid was broken with less than three minutes left in the third when Troy Friesen (Storoschuk, Tetreault) scored for the Habs.

St. Malo is back in-action on Sunday afternoon when they host the Arborg Ice Dawgs in St. Malo at 2:30PM.
