Warriors Score 7 Unanswered to Win 7th Straight

St. Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors finished their first half portion of their season when they hosted the Lundar Falcons on Saturday night.

Things got off to a rocky start when Lundar would score three times thanks to Zach Halldorson (Vitelli), Gavin Miller (Johannesson, Robertson) and Braeden Lukas to make it 3-0.

St. Malo got back on track when Teagan Fillion (Cure, Fillion) started the comeback. With 36 seconds left in the first Zach Maynard (Collette, Dubois) got his first of the season and the score to 3-2 Lundar after one.

In the second St. Malo would score three times thanks to Teagan Fillion (Fillion, Magne), Riley Tirschman (Worley, Braun), and Keston Worley (Fillion, Fillion) to take a 5-3 lead into the third.

St. Malo was able to find two more in the third thanks to Teagan Fillion (Cure, Fillion) and a 4th goal by Teagan Fillion (McFarlane, Collette) to make it 7-3.

Lundar would add a goal late thanks to Braeden Lukas (Johannesson, Poseluzney) to make it a 7-4 final.

The Christmas break will last until January 3rd when the top two teams in the CRJHL will face-off in St. Malo when they host the Beausejour Comets in St. Malo at 8pm.
