The St. Malo Warriors welcomed the Selkirk Fishermen to St. Malo on Friday night in their last match up of the regular season between the two teams.
St. Malo got the scoring started when Damon Johnson (Tirschman, Worley) scored to make it 1-0 Warriors.
Selkirk answered back late in the first to tie the game at one thanks to Ryland Schroeder (Aime, Andrushko).
In the second the Warriors scored twice thanks to Ashton Cure (Fillion, Tirschman) and Logan Fillion (Tirschman, Cure) to take a 3-1 lead into the third.
Selkirk was able to get within one with under four minutes remaining when Ashton Schroeder (Guimond, Courchene) scored on the power play.
Despite power play time at the end of the game for Selkirk - they we're unable to score and St. Malo hung on for a 3-2 victory.
St. Malo is now one win away from securing a first place bye into the CRJHL semi-final. Next up for the Warriors is a match up against the Habs on February 16th in St. Malo at 2:30PM
