The third straight final appearance for the St. Malo Warriors is officially underway against the Beausejour Comets.
Game one went on Friday night in St. Malo and things started well for St. Malo when Logan Fillion scored to make it 1-0. Under a minute later Beausejour would answer back when Jaedys Dancyt (Ticknor, Ewasko) would tie it up.
St. Malo would recapture their lead shortly after when Logan Fillion (Fillion, Cure) scored on a delayed penalty.
In the second Beausejour would tie things up at two when Merrick Hucul (Amos) scored for the Comets and would be no scoring until the 10 minute mark of the second overtime.
St. Malo's Brady Gregoire played hero when he took an Elijah Constant pass and sniped it top shelf to give the Warriors an early 1-0 series lead.
Game two goes March 22nd in Beausejour at 7pm.
