St. Malo Wins 8th Straight

St. Malo Warriors

On Friday night it was a match up between the two teams at the top of the CRJHL standings.

Beausejour got things started early when Jaedys Dancyt (Denchuk, Clarke) opened the scoring 2 minutes in.

St. Malo quickly tied it at one less than 30 seconds later when Damon Johnson (McFarlane, Worley) scored.

There would be no goals scored from that point until the third period where St. Malo took control.

Early in the third Ashton Cure (Fillion, Fillion) would give the Warriors their first lead of the game.

St. Malo was able to add to their lead when Teagan Fillion (Fillion, Tirschman) scored to make it 3-1.

The lead would grow when Ashton Dubois (Rioux, Tirschman) scored shorthanded and Brady Gregoire (Dubois, Magne) scored in the empty net to make it a 5-1 final.

The Warriors are back in-action on Friday night when they host the third place Lundar Falcons with puck drop at 8pm in St. Malo
