The St. Malo Warriors visited the Lundar Falcons on Saturday night after a 6-2 win the previous night against the Fishermen.
Lundar got things going early in the first when Riley Zdan (Lukas, Vitelli) scored to open the scoring.
St. Malo would tie things up five minutes later when Ashton Cure (Fillion, Fillion) would keep his hot streak going tying the game at one.
Over a minute later Ashton Dubois (Magne, Tirschman) would give the Warriors the lead for the first time and take a 2-1 lead into the second.
Lundar would tie the game midway through the second when Torger Bjornson (Masters, Miller) would score.
Less than three minutes later Jeremie Collette (Dubois, Cure) would get his monkey off his back giving the Warriors a 3-2 lead.
St. Malo would add to their lead late in the second when Jeremie Collette (Dubois, McFarlane) would add his second of the game to make it 4-2.
Midway through the third the Warriors would extend their lead to three when Sam Freynet (Fillion, Tirschman) would score jumping out of the penalty box.
Lundar would make it a close game scoring twice thanks to Joel MacMillan (Masters, Halldorson) and Dylan Care (Robertson, Farthing) to make it 5-4 St. Malo with three minutes remaining.
St. Malo would be able to draw a penalty late in the third and make the Falcons pay for it when Teagan Fillion (Fillion, Cure) would score to make it a 6-4 final.
The Warriors are back in-action on Friday night - November 1, 2024 when they host the Arborg Ice Dawgs in St. Malo at 8pm.
