Warriors score 5 unanswered to secure the win

St Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors looked to bounce back after a third period collapse last weekend when they visited their rival Selkirk Fishermen on Friday night.

Selkirk would start the scoring midway through the first when Anthony Bruyere (Berry, Avanthay) would score on the powerplay to give the Fish a 1-0 lead.

Late in the period we had history. Logan Fillion (Fillion, Dubois) would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one but with Ashton Dubois' assist he became the new CRJHL all-time leading scorer with 131 points and counting.

In the second Anthony Bruyere (Avanthay, Johnson) would get his second of the game to once again give the Fish a lead.

Only seconds later the Warriors would respond when Teagan Fillion (Magne, Fillion) would tie things up once again and head into the third tied at two.

In the third the Warriors found their footing and we're able to score 4 straight to secure them a 6-2 win. Goals were scored by Logan Fillion (Cure, FIllion), Ashton Cure (Fillion), Teagan Fillion (Tirschman), and Keston Worley (Cure, Magne).

The St. Malo Warriors are back in-action tonight when they visit the Lundar Falcons at 7pm
