Warriors Win Big

St. Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors looked to bounce back after a season opening loss when they visited the Arborg Ice Dawgs.

The Warriors would let an early powerplay goal in thanks to Harris Dankochik (Letandre, Barylski) to give an early 1-0 lead.

Shortly after the Warriors started to pour it on with four straight goals to end the period with a 4-1 lead thanks to Brady Gregoire (Fillion, Fillion), Damon Johnson (Worley, McFarlane), Jeremie Collette (Gregoire, Dubois), and Logan Fillion (McFarlane).

Arborg would answer with another early goal thanks to Harris Dankochik (Loewen, Barylski) to close the lead to 4-2.

4-2 is the closest Arborg would get as it was all St. Malo the rest of the way. St. Malo was able to score twice in the third to lead 6-2 after two thanks to Brady Gregoire (Dubois, Magne), and Ashton Cure (Fillion, Fillion).

In the third period the Warriors would tack on another four goals to make it a 10-2 final. Goals scored by Teagan Fillion, Ashton Cure (Rioux, Dias), Ashton Cure (Dias, Tirschman), and Tyson Preteau (Gregoire, Collette).

St. Malo is back in action on Sunday vs the Selkirk Fishermen at 3pm in Selkirk.
