St. Malo Wins Their First CRJHL Championship

St. Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors we're on the cusp on winning the 2023-24 CRJHL final on Friday night in Beausejour for game 6.

A tentative start would eventually lead to a Logan Fillion (Rioux, Unrau) to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead after one.

Beausejour would tie things up early in the second when Liam Johnston (Reid) scored for Beausejour.

Late in the second Logan Fillion (T. Fillion, Worley) would add his second of the game and give the Warriors a 2-1 lead going into the third.

A tight checking third would ultimately see our Warriors take complete control of the game and ultimately the series. Damon Johnson (T. Fillion) would score with 6 minutes remaining to give the Warriors the two goal lead.

Three minutes later Jeremie Collette (Gregoire, Dubois) would ice the series making it 4-1 St. Malo.

This is the first CRJHL championship for St. Malo and 6th overall in the Jr B leagues.

Congratulations to a fantastic season!
