The St. Malo Warriors were celebrating their 30th anniversary home opener on Saturday night versus the visiting Beausejour Comets.
Rylan Keck (Fillion, Unrau) would get things started for the Warriors tipping in a point shot.
Beausejour would answer back shortly after thanks to Nikolas Bear (Leeson, Reib) to tie the game at one after one.
Levi Penner (Rioux, McFarlane) would finish off a beautiful passing play in the second to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.
Zach Maynard (Collette, Magne) would add to the Warriors lead a minute later making it a 3-1 Warriors lead.
Beausejour would bring the game back to within one when Evan Leeson (Ewasko, Miller) would score on the powerplay.
The Warriors would take a 3-2 lead into the third and ultimately shut things down and take the 3-2 victory.
The Warriors are back in action Friday night in St. Malo when they host the Arborg Ice Dawgs with an 8pm puck drop.
