St. Malo Claws Back to Tie Series

St Malo Warriors

After a big 10-2 win on Wednesday night to get within one game of the Comets, the Warriors had the opportunity to tie the series at two games a piece.

The Warriors we're able to jump on the Comets with a first period power play goal scored by Brady Gregoire (Dubois) to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead going into the second.

Midway through the second the Warriors would add another powerplay marker thanks to Thomas Maynard (Gregoire, Collette) to make it 2-0 Warriors.

A couple minutes later the Comets were able to cut the lead back to one when Clint Thomas (Avanthay) scored for Beausejour.

Not a minute later the Warriors responded when Reece Unrau (Fillion) scored off of a 2 on 1 rush to make it 3-1 Warriors.

Early in the third the Warriors would grow their lead to three when Adam Little (Dias, L. Fillion) would score his first of the playoffs.

St. Malo was able to seal away the win when Teagan Fillion scored into the empty net to give the Warriors a 5-1 lead.

Warrior goalie Jozse Gauthier-Urmos bounced back stopping 33 of 34 shots on the night.

Game 5 goes back on Tuesday night in St. Malo with an 8pm puck drop.
