Warriors Beat Satelites in Back-to-Back

St Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors were in Warren on Monday night taking on the North Winnipeg Satelites for the second time in four days.

The Satelites got the scoring started when Logan Ashe (Grimstrup) to take a 1-0 lead into the second despite the Warriors outshooting the Satelites 22-11 in the first.

Mason French (Johnson, Rioux) would score to tie the game at one midway through the second.

Before the period was over North Winnipeg would get the lead again thanks to Nicolas Andrews (Miele, Leclair).

The Warriors would finally solve their third period scoring struggles with four in the third.

Starting with Reece Unrau (Lambert) to tie the game at two. Brady Gregoire (Fillion, Magne) would finish off a breakaway on the powerplay to give the Warriors a lead for the first time in the game.

Rylan Keck (Johnson, Little) would continue his scoring streak to give the Warriors a 4-2 lead.

North Winnipeg would not go away when they scored on powerplay thanks to Cody Grimstrup (Miele, Buffalo) to make it 4-3.

The Warriors we're able to seal the game away when Thomas Maynard would score into the empty net.

St. Malo is back in action on Friday night in Beausejour with an 8pm puck drop.
