St Malo Warriors

The St. Malo Warriors were looking to get off to a good start to begin their 30th anniversary.

St. Malo would only wait :59 seconds before getting the first goal of the year thanks to a 2 on 1 finish by Damon Johnson (Dubois, Z. Maynard).

The league's leading scorer from last year Ashton Dubois (T. Maynard) would increase the lead to two shortly after.

Selkirk would answer back :44 seconds later thanks to Theo Courchene (Moneyas).

The Warriors would get their lead back to two thanks to a powerplay goal by Zach Maynard (T. Maynard) to take a 3-1 lead into the second.

Ashton Dubois (Collette) wouldn't wait long to add to the Warriors lead in the second scoring just :32 seconds into the period.

The Fishermen would get the lead back down to two midway through the second thanks to Kasen Adrushko.

The Warriors would extend their lead to three once again on the powerplay thanks to Brady Gregoire (Unrau, Collette) and ultimately win the game 5-2.

St. Malo's home opener is Saturday, October 7 at 7:30pm vs the Beausejour Comets.
