The St. Malo Warriors we're looking to snap a two game losing streak when they faced off against the North Winnipeg Satelites for the first time this year.
The Warriors didn't wait long to get on the board thanks to Colton Magne (Collette, Gregoire) scoring 33 seconds into the game.
Rylan Keck (Lambert, T. Maynard) would score for the Warriors midway through the first to extend their lead to two.
North Winnipeg was able to bring the game within one when Elliot Leclair (Speechley, Buffalo) would score with 37 seconds left in the period.
There was no score in the second.
The Satelites we're able to tie things up early in the third period thanks to Emerson Veloso (Grimstup, Thomas) powerplay goal.
Despite outshooting the Satelites 21-5 in the third the Warriors we're not able to find a third goal which led to the game going into overtime.
It didn't take long for the Warriors to finally beat Satelites goalie Marchand when Rylan Keck (McFarlane, T. Maynard) would redirect a pass into the net to give the Warriors a 3-2 overtime win.
The Warriors will play back-to-back against the Satelites on Monday November 20 in Warren with an 8pm puck drop
