The St. Malo Warriors we're looking to bounce back after a 4-1 loss to Selkirk on Friday night with a match up against the Lundar Falcons on Saturday night.
Lundar would get on the board early thanks to Dayson McCreedy (Miller, Prystupa).
St. Malo would respond before the end of the period to make it 1-1 thanks to a Zach Maynard (Penner, McFarlane) point shot.
Lundar would restore their lead early in the second when Cayden St. Laurent (Prystupa, McCreedy) would score.
The Warriors would answer back just over a minute later when Rylan Keck (Penner, Lambert) would put home a rebound.
St. Malo would get their first lead of the game when Sam Freynet (Little, Lambert) would score on a screened shot.
The Warriors would add another one before the period ends when Jeremie Collette (T. Maynard, Unrau) danced his way through the defenders before putting it five-hole.
After a few unsuccessful zone exists Lundar would score with seven seconds remaining in the second thanks to Ryan Benson (Halldorson, Johannesson) to make it a 4-3 game heading into the third.
St. Malo would increase their lead back to two thanks to their first 3rd period of the goal of the season courtesy of Damon Johnson (Fillion, Z. Maynard).
The Warriors would ultimately hold onto a 5-3 win over the Lundar Falcons.
