St. Malo sweeps their way into CRJHL Final

St Malo Warriors

On Friday night, St. Malo had the Lundar Falcons facing elimination down 3-0 in the best of seven semi final.

St. Malo didn't wait long to break the ice when Teagan Fillion (Dubois, Gauthier-Urmos) finished on a 2 on 1 shorthanded goal and ultimately taking that same score into the second.

Early in the second, shortly after a powerplay ended Brady Gregoire (Dubois, Dias) scored to make it 2-0 Warriors.

St. Malo was able to really put the pressure on with a late second period powerplay goal scored by Jeremie Collette (Dubois, Dias) to make it 3-0 Warriors after two.

In the third, St. Malo did not give them a chance at a comeback taking command with a team leading 5th goal Kaden Rioux (McFarlane, Keck) to blow it open to 4-0.

St. Malo was able to add two more thanks to Teagan Fillion (Worley, Little) and Jeremie Collette (Dubois, Magne) to make it a 6-0 final to go with winning the series 4 games to 0.

St. Malo will now wait for the winner between Beausejour and Selkirk to determine their final opponent. Beausejour currently holds a 3 games to 1 lead in their best of seven series.
