St Malo Warriors

After a 20 day lay off thanks to a first round bye the St. Malo Warriors started their semi-final against the third place Lundar Falcons on Friday night.

The Warriors would score midway through the period when Kaden Rioux (McFarlane, Keck) would back one off of the Lundar goalie to open the scoring.

On his next shift Kaden Rioux (McFarlane) would score again to make it 2-0 St. Malo, taking that lead into the second period.

In the second the flood gates opened with St. Malo scoring five times thanks to goals by Ben Dias (Little, Fillion), Ashton Dubois (Z. Maynard, Worley), Zach Maynard (Unrau, Fillion), Ashton Dubois (Brady Gregoire), and finally completing his hattrick Kaden Rioux (Dias, Unrau).

In the third the Warriors would add another two goals thanks to Ashton Dubois' (Magne, Gregoire) third of the night and Keston Worley (Unrau, Mazinke) to make it a 9-0 final.

St. Malo outshot Lundar 41-21 on the night with Warrior goalie Logan Mazinke stopping all 21 shots he faced.

Game 2 goes on Sunday, March 10th in Lundar with a 3pm puck drop.
