Warriors Fall Big to Ice Dawgs

Warriors Fall Big to Ice Dawgs

The St. Malo Warriors visited the second place Arborg Ice Dawgs on Sunday afternoon.

The Ice Dawgs would take an early 3-0 lead thanks to goals by Dylan Woytowich (Dankochik, Clarke), Daytona Moneas (Einarson, Dueck), and Jack Einarson (Clarke, Moneas).

The Warriors would get on the board late in the first period to make it a 3-1 game thanks to Brendan Spence (Gosselin, Peters).

The Ice Dawgs would score four unanswered goals in the second period to take a commanding 7-1 lead into the third.

Goals were scored by Jack Einarson (Hamrlik, Dueck), Harris Dankochik (Woytowich, Huston), Cadrick Dueck (Moneas, Einarson) and Zach Gallinger (Pelletier, Clarke).

Mitchell Penner (Maynard, Patterson) would score early in the third to make it a 7-2 game but that is as close as the Warriors would get.

The Ice Dawgs would add two more thanks to Riley Huston (Einarson, Woytowich) and Daytona Moneas (Einarson, Clarke) to make it a 9-2 final.

The Warriors will look to bounce back on Friday when they welcome the Lundar Falcons to the St. Malo with an 8pm puck drop.
