The St. Malo Warriors visited the North Winnipeg Satelites on Tuesday night. The Satelites would open the scoring on a power play goal scored by Jordan Klippenstein (Vachon) to the the 1-0 lead into intermission.
The Warriors would tie the game mid way through the second when Ashton Dubois (Fillion, Penner) scored to get the Warriors on the board.
The Warriors would answer again late in the second courtesy of a goal scored by Jaden Gosselin (Penner) to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.
The third period would see the Warriors extend their lead to two when Jaden Gosselin (Fillion, McFarlane) would score to make it a 3-1 game.
The Satelites would respond just a minute later when Nikolas Bear (Valente, Gutowski) would make it a 1-goal game late in the third.
The Satelites would tie the game up with :37 seconds on the power play courtesy of a goal by Isaiah Sagriotis-Castaneda (Klippenstein, Kubrakovich) which would send the game to overtime.
Evan Wuerch (Gosselin) would play hero for the Warriors in overtime giving the Warriors the 4-3 victory.
Jesse Morris was stellar in net once again stopping 42 out of 45 shots in the overtime victory.
The Warriors are back in-action when the visiting Lundar Falcons come to town on Friday, January 28th with an 8pm puck drop.
