The Warriors headed to Selkirk to take on the first place Selkirk Fishermen on Friday night.
The Warriors got off to a great start when Teagan Fillon (McFarlane) opened the scoring in the first period and eventually took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Evan Wuerch (Dubois) would extend the lead to two when he found the back of net mid-way through the second. The Warriors would take the two goal lead into the third period.
Selkirk would get on the board courtesy of a goal by Matt Brooks (Jonski) to cut the lead to 2-1.
Selkirk would push hard for the equalizer but Warrior goalie William Patterson would shut the door to beat the first place Fishermen. William Patterson stopped 42 of 43 shots in the victory.
The Warriors are back in-action tonight in St. Malo when the visiting Lundar Falcons visit for a 7PM puck drop.
