Warriors Defeat Lundar Falcons

Warriors Defeat Lundar Falcons

The St. Malo Warriors were back in action Friday night when the visiting Lundar Falcons came to town to take on the Warriors.

The Warriors would get off to a quick start courtesy of a goal by Levi Penner (Gosselin, Toews) just three minutes into the game and would take that 1-0 lead into the intermission.

Lundar would tie it up mid-way through the second period when Ryan Gleich (Timlick, Campeau) beat Warrior goalie William Patterson to tie the game at 1.

The Warriors would respond 30 seconds later when Ashton Dubois (Collette) scored to make it a 2-1 Warrior lead heading into the third.

The Warriors would extend their lead to two goals when Jack Toews (Penner, Gosselin) scored to make it a 3-1 game.

The Falcons would quickly score two unanswered goals by Jayden Timlick (Gleich, Wirgau) and Bryce Allary (Farthing, Wirgau) to tie the game at 3.

Evan Wuerch (Fillion, McFarlane) would give the Warriors the lead once again when he scored with under 10 minutes remaining in the game.

Evan Wuerch (Collette) would seal the game with an empty net goal to make it a 5-3 final.

William Patterson stopped 29 of 32 shots in the victory.
