The St. Malo Warriors win their second consecutive game over the North Winnipeg Satelites.
The Warriors came out of the gate to a quick start with goals at the 16:46 mark scored by Ashton Dubois (Penner, Gosselin), followed by 46 seconds later by Teagon Fillion (Peters, Dubois) to take a commanding 2-0 lead minutes into the game.
Teagan Fillion (Dubois) would score late in the first period to take a 3-0 lead into the first period intermission.
Most of the second period remained scoreless until Evan Wuerch (McFarlane, Gosselin) found the back of the net with :35 seconds left in the second period to make it a 4-0 Warrior lead.
The North Winnipeg Satelites broke the shutout with a powerplay goal scored by Nick Trudeal (Sagriotis-Castaneda) to make a 4-1 final.
William Patterson stopped 38 of 39 shots in the victory.
The St. Malo Warriors are back in action tonight in St Malo against the league leading Selkirk Fishermen with a 7pm puck drop.
