The St. Malo Warriors welcomed the league leading Selkirk Fishermen to St. Malo for a Saturday night game.
The Warriors would get off to a good start when Cole Holdnick (Toews) scored to give the Warriors the 1-0 lead.
The game would not see another goal scored until five minutes into the second period when Fishermen Raymond Hefferman (Hummel) scored to tie the game at one.
The Fishermen would strike once again just 26 seconds later when Zack Parkinson scored unassisted.
The Fishermen would extend the lead to 3-1 minutes later courtesy of a goal by Raymond Hefferman (Folhoffer).
The third period remained scoreless and the Fishermen would take the win 3-1. Warrior goalie Jesse Morris stopped an impressive 40 out of 43 shots in the loss.
The Warriors are back in-action later this afternoon when the visiting North Winnipeg Satelites come to town for a 2pm puck drop.
